Miho Museum

The Miho Museum houses a private collection of Japanese and western antiquities commissioned by the Toyobo textile heiress, Koyama Mihoko. Fans of contemporary Japanese architecture may also know the museum for its design by architect, I.M. Pei.

The Museum is near the famous ceramic pottery town, Shigaraki, in the southeast corner of Shiga. It’s quite far from the train lines, so getting there by bus or car is recommended. Find out more about access, hours, etc. on their english site:
