Sun Burger is a local burger shop from Hikone (although now there’s a Nagahama location too), offering a few variations of the American classic, all with quality ingredients. The patties are made from Omi Beef (the famous local premium wagyu) so pricier than a fast food chain, but tastier too of course. In addition to the classic french fry combo, there are sets with soup or salad as well.

And after reopening in their current location, Sun Burger is paired with the Hikone Crepe shop, so if you’re in the mood for dessert, they have you covered there too!

Seating is limited, but they offer take-out, so you can eat somewhere near the Castle if you like. It’s about a third of the way between Hikone Sta. and Hikone Castle, less than 10 minutes from the station on foot.

It shares parking with the adjacent Sugimoto Japanese restaurant, which is run by the same family.
